In Troyes, 850 choir singers perform with Tiken Jah Fakoly
The Nuits de Champagne join the Festival TV catalogue. Their signature: the Grand Choral, hundreds of amateur singers performing with the guest artist — in 2024, Ivorian reggae star Tiken Jah Fakoly.
A festival born in 1988
Created in Troyes in 1988, the Nuits de Champagne celebrate French-language song around guest headline artists. Since 1993, the Grand Choral has been its heart: around 800 choir singers rehearse the guest's repertoire for months, then sing it with them at the closing concerts.
Tiken Jah Fakoly and his 850 singers
Guest artist of the 2024 edition, Tiken Jah Fakoly saw 850 singers take up his songs at the Espace Argence on October 25 and 26, 2024. His official video of 'Plus rien ne m'étonne' with the Grand Choral can be watched on the festival's page and in our On Stage feed; the experience even gave birth to his EP Chorales, released in 2026.
Nuits de Champagne, Troyes (France). 39th edition: October 17–24, 2026; 40th edition expected in October 2027.
