It's an official event: Afro Nation Portugal 2027 meets in June — Davido, Fally Ipupa and Rema on the beach!
The biggest festival of African music on the planet is changing its niche: Afro Nation Portugal will set its scenes on the beach of Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, from June 9 to 11, 2027 — a month earlier than usual. Phase 1 of the programming has fallen, and it is royal!
Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall: Davido, Rema and Omah Lay will lead the dance, alongside Jamaican star Shencea and a special guest who will make the two shores of the Atlantic salivate: GIMS. And above all, Congolese legend Fally Ipupa — the rumba that meets the whole world, on the sand of the Algarve! The Piano People scene will be a part of South African amapiano (Kabza De Small, TxC, Dlaa Thukzin, Young Stunna), while the Afrotronic scene will be wearing the colours of the African house, with in particular the Tangier-Caldian Djeff.
Seventh edition for this phenomenon born of the diaspora: more than 40,000 festivalgoers from 180 countries, three scenes facing the ocean, and a clear point — African music has become the heartbeat of world pop. Tickets are only sold on the official website (general sale opened on September 30): beware of resales!
For Festival TV, it's a golden date: where Africa celebrates, our explorers will never be far away!
