Dub Camp Festival: the 2026 edition cancelled by the heatwave, the future uncertain
Europe’s first sound system culture festival joins the Festival TV catalogue, with difficult news: its 2026 edition, planned for July 10–12, was cancelled on the eve of its opening, in the middle of a red heatwave alert.
Europe’s temple of sound system
Since 2014, the Get Up! association has brought together on the shores of Lake Vioreau more than 50 crews from across Europe, playing on their own handcrafted sound systems: dub, roots reggae, UK stepper and dancehall, for nearly 30,000 festival-goers.
A cancellation on the eve of the opening
Loire-Atlantique’s red heatwave alert forced the cancellation of the 11th edition, whose total cost the association estimates at 1.86 million euros. No next edition is announced: Festival TV is following the story and sends its support to the Get Up! team and its 800 volunteers.
