FESTIBEG 2026: in Conakry, sport becomes a popular celebration
From 4 to 6 December 2026, the Petit Sory Stadium in Conakry hosts the first edition of the FESTIBEG, the Guinea Sports and Welfare Festival: three days of sport, health and popular celebration, free entry, with Morocco as guest country of honour.
Conakry is about to sweat with joy. The first edition of the FESTIBEG — the Guinea Sports and Welfare Festival — will be held from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December 2026 at Petit Sory Stadium in Nongo, with Morocco as the guest country of honour. The event was presented to the press on 9 October 2026 in Conakry: three days to put sport at the heart of public health, social cohesion and Guinea's economy.
Behind the FESTIBEG, the FADES — Sport Development Assistance Fund — under the high sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The theme of this first edition is the ambition: "Simadou 2040: well-being through sport". The chairman of the organizing committee, Monson Cissoko, and his teams have imagined a festival in seven spaces: sports competitions and demonstrations, health village, wellness areas, youth animations, culture, partner space and innovations.
The program speaks to everyone: a 5 km walk, free health check-ups, initiations and activities for children, young people, women and seniors — with the educational objective of explaining, without a doubt, diabetes and the importance of health sport. Admission is free, from 7 a.m. to midnight: the party is popular, in the full sense of the word — you come with the family, you move, you learn, you go back with reflexes that protect.
The FESTIBEG is beyond the stage: an economic and business component brings together partners and investors, a sports school and a dedicated fund must extend the momentum after the celebration, and the committee is already announcing a follow-up meeting in June 2027. Beyond the three days, the festival wants to install a culture: making sport a reflex of public health and a lever of wealth for Guinea.
Festival TV — media born in Guinea — has been following the FESTIBEG since its announcement: the festival record is to be discovered in our global catalogue, and the coverage of this first edition is getting ready.
