FrancoFaune 2026: Brussels, capital of the French-speaking song
Thirteen editions and one conviction: the succession of the French song is played on the small scenes. From 1 to 11 October 2026, FrancoFaune made Brussels a crossroads where Belgium, France, Switzerland and Quebec respond to each other in music — some forty concerts in about fifteen places.
There are festivals that program stars, and others that make the future. FrancoFaune belongs to the second family. For its 13th edition, from October 1 to 11, 2026, the Brussels festival has again transformed the Belgian capital into a discovery ground for the emerging French scene: about 40 concerts in fifteen places, from Botanique to Brass, from 140 to VK, from Jardin de ma Sœur to Maison Poem.
Selection 2026
The 2026 selection says the ambition of the appointment: DC Lou, Zonmai, Chaton Laveur, Charles, Le Lou, ONHA, Mia Lena, Thomaslovefashionverviers or Yasmine on the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles side, among artists from France, Switzerland, Quebec and French-speaking Canada. It is this bridge that makes FrancoFaune singular: the Francophonie is not a slogan, but a programming — accents that cross, audiences that mix, careers that start away from the big machines.
A workplace for the whole industry
The festival is also a place of work. Its professional section, from 7 to 11 October, brought together programmers, media and accompanying structures — until the Apero pro de Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques, on 10 October at the Botanique. For an emerging artist, playing FrancoFaune means being listened to by those who tour tomorrow; for a programmer, it means going back with a list of names to follow.
At a time when our artists, from Dakar to Montreal, are looking for scenes where there is a double-counting French event. Franco Faune proves that a festival can be both a party for the public and a launching ramp for a whole generation. Brussels closed its doors on October 11th; the names discovered there start their journey.
