HONG KONG LIGHTS UP ITS WATERFRONT: KESHI, HAYLEY WILLIAMS AND SLOWDIVE AT CLOCKENFLAP!
Some lineups make your head spin — and this one is only a first wave. From December 4 to 6, 2026, Clockenflap, Hong Kong's great music and arts festival, takes over Central Harbourfront, facing the illuminated skyline of the harbour. On October 7, the organizer lifted the veil on the first names of its 2026 edition, and the promise is clear: three days, three headliners, and a whole musical continent in between.
Friday will be led by keshi, the alt-R&B phenomenon. On Saturday, it is Hayley Williams' turn: the voice of Paramore, solo, in a performance presented as a first in the region. On Sunday, Slowdive will close the weekend in the layers of guitars the band has mastered like no other. Around them, the first wave is mouth-watering: Queens of the Stone Age, HYUKOH, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Kim Gordon, Malcolm Todd, the jazz duo DOMi & JD BECK, the pioneers Digable Planets, Sleaford Mods and Marcel Dettmann — legends and sensations of the moment, gathered on a single waterfront.
Created in 2008, Clockenflap has become the meeting point that makes Hong Kong converse with the planet: multiple stages mixing international, regional and local artists, spectacular art installations, family workshops and performances, and the gastronomy of Hong Kong establishments to last until the end of the night. The 2026 edition is funded by the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government — a sign that the city fully embraces its great festival.
And this is only the beginning: more names will complete the lineup between now and December. Festival TV will follow it closely — because an urban festival, open to the world, that makes Asia and the whole planet converse, is exactly the kind of celebration we love to tell. Clockenflap's full fact sheet joins our directory today, in the Asia section — and this article, built on the festival's official press release, replaces our first watch item of October 16 on the same subject.
