LASSIRY HIP-HOP 2026: Conakry opens the ball on October 29 — Paris takes over!

Conakry, at the end of October: the walls of the popular neighborhoods take on fresh colours, the platinums warm up, and a whole movement is meeting. The 8th edition of the Lassery Hip-Hop will be played in two stages: Conakry first, from October 29 to November 1, 2026, with days at the Centre culturel franco-Guinea on 29 and 30 October from 10 am, then the big closing concert on Sunday 1 November at Petit Sory Stadium in Nongo — the leading poster announced by the festival: La Fouine; Paris then, from November 4 to 7 in La Place. Guinean hip-hop no longer asks for permission: it exports.

LASSIRY HIP-HOP 2026: Conakry opens the ball on October 29 — Paris takes over!

It all started on the street, a spray in hand. The festival was born under the name "Lassiry Graffiti" before becoming, at its 6th edition in 2024, "Lassiry Hip-Hop" — a name that is at the height of the entire movement: rap, dance, DJing, graffiti, formation and civic engagement. Founded by Lefa and led by the NGO Guinea Challenge, with M'Baye Aïssatou Fall as Commissioner General, he paid tribute to the pioneers of Guinean hip hop in 2024, and placed its 7th edition (27 October – 1 November 2025, between the Franco-Guinean Cultural Centre and Kakimbo field) under the sign of technology and innovation. A trajectory that says everything: the culture of the streets became an institution, without losing anything of its energy.

By 2026, the message was stuck to the walls and shouted on stage: "Road and rail safety" — the central theme, citizen, of this edition. Conakry will open the ball with a press conference at the Franco-Guinean Cultural Centre; then the Lassery Business Tour will meet students from four universities, with masterclasses on hip-hop trades, while frescoes will color two popular neighborhoods. And the suspense ended on October 14th: the official Facebook page of the festival has lifted the veil on the legend of French rap with multiple certified records expected in Conakry — La Fouine will lead the closing concert on Sunday, November 1st at Petit Sory Stadium. Tickets: 30,000 GNF lawn, 50,000 GNF stand, via TicketEase — festival info line: 623 25 26 33. In early October, Moussa Moïse Sylla, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Crafts, received the organizers and announced that his department would study accompaniment to the festival.

Then the bridge crosses. In Paris, at La Place, the so-called "mirror" programming will make dialogue between the two scenes in three evenings, seven artists: Vicky R and Opinel XII on November 5, Thiird and Tizzy Miller on November 6, then Shayne — the recent winner of New School —, Miss Kalakala and Kakilambé on November 7. Around the concerts: creative residences, conferences and graffiti until under the Canopée des Halles. Conakry looks Paris, Paris responds to Conakry — Guinea's hip-hop in stereo.

In fact, Lassery is a school as much as a party: training, professionalizing, circulating the talents. According to the organizers, the Business Tour has already raised the awareness of 1,500 young people across the country.
