MUNDI MUNDI BASH 2027: JIMMY BARNES SHAKES THE RED EARTH!

Some festivals are experienced like concerts, and others are experienced like expeditions. The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash belongs to the second family — and its 2027 edition has just unveiled a lineup that sends shivers down the spine: 25 artists gathered in the heart of the Australian outback, headlined by a living rock legend, Jimmy Barnes. Just thinking about it, you can already hear the guitars echoing across the Mundi Mundi plains.

Picture it: New South Wales, at the gates of Broken Hill, where the asphalt gives way to red dirt and the horizon seems to go on forever. The Mundi Mundi Bash is camping under an immense sky, days bathed in light and nights that fall all at once over the desert, ochre dust on your boots and music rising as the sun goes down. Here, you don't just come to hear concerts: you cross half a continent to share a moment outside of time, between wide-open spaces and the thrill of the stage.

That is also the magic of the Bash: you pitch your tent in the middle of nowhere, you become neighbours with strangers from all over the country, and within a few hours, this temporary campground turns into a small town of festival-goers united by the same desire — to experience music where it resonates the loudest, in the heart of the wild.

From August 19 to 21, 2027, the Mundi Mundi plains once again become one of the most spectacular stages on the festival planet. The unveiled lineup features 25 artists, and right at the top, a name that makes Australian hearts race: Jimmy Barnes, rock legend, ready to make the red earth tremble. Three days of music in the heart of the outback: another box ticked on the list of festivals to experience once in a lifetime. And for lovers of musical travel, the countdown starts now: tickets go on sale on October 22, 2026. A date to mark in red — the local colour, naturally — in the calendar.
