WeLovEya: Cotonou, capital of the African Union on 26 and 27 December 2026
Benin's largest urban music and afrobeat festival returns to Place de l'Amazon in Cotonou on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 December 2026. The ticket office for the 5th edition of WeLovEya is already open.
"Eya", in Fongbe, means "It's there! We're going!". A whole programme for the festival born in 2022 in Cotonou, which became the year-end meeting of African youth in four editions. At the helm: Lionel Talon, founder of the Eya Cultural and Sports Centre and president of the Eya Foundation.
In the footsteps of the Big Three
In 2025, the fourth edition brought together Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy — the Big Three of the Atropop — alongside Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz and Gims. Programming for 2026 is not yet published, but the bar is placed very high, and the Beninese press reports tens of thousands of festivalgoers at each edition.
A festival that builds
WeLovEya is not just a party: each ticket purchased directly contributes to the construction of EYA Centers, community centres for youth training, creation and sport. With EYA Care, a day of solidarity or ecological action can even be worth an entry ticket.
