Since 2014, the meeting of African and Middle East music
Visa For Music was born in 2014 in Rabat, on the initiative of Brahim El Mazned and the cultural engineering structure ANYA, with the association Atlas Azawan: it is the first festival and professional market entirely dedicated to African and Middle East music. The event has two parts that answer each other: the festival, with its shows open to the public, and the market, where programmers, producers, labels and media from all over the world come to listen, meet and sign the artists of tomorrow.
In twelve editions, the event has become a reference platform: according to the official figures of the festival, 12,540 professionals, 571 exhibitors and 458 shows since 2014, and 33 tributes paid to the great figures of these musics; the 2022 edition brought together more than 16,000 participants. Its founder Brahim El Mazned also provides artistic direction to the Timitar festival of Agadir.
Live editions, on Festival TV
Pending the 13th edition, Festival TV revives past editions: concerts and shows filmed in Rabat are aired, woven in the loop of the chain, and are found in our media library "Function-filmed", alongside images of festivals from around the world.
