In Biddinghuizen, Lowlands gathers 65,000 festival-goers
'A Campingflight to Lowlands Paradise': the great Dutch festival of Biddinghuizen joins the Festival TV catalogue — three days of music and arts, with camping, since 1993.
The heir of the Utrecht happenings
Created in 1993 near Walibi Holland, in Flevoland, Lowlands carries on the spirit of the free Utrecht festivals of 1967–1968. Camping included, the festival has become a small temporary city: 12 stages, around 250 performances, 65,000 festival-goers.
Music, theatre, cinema and science
People come to Lowlands for the concerts and stay for everything else: theatre, cinema, literature, talks and science make up a programme that goes far beyond music. On August 21, 2022, Burna Boy played there for the festival's 30th edition.
