In Rotterdam, North Sea Jazz celebrates 50 years of jazz
The world's biggest indoor jazz festival joins the Festival TV catalogue. Rotterdam's North Sea Jazz celebrated its 50th anniversary in July 2026 — with Burna Boy on the bill.
From The Hague to Rotterdam Ahoy
Founded in 1976 in The Hague by impresario Paul Acket, the festival made Rotterdam Ahoy its home in 2006. Three days where jazz meets blues, soul, funk, hip-hop and world music, organised by Mojo Concerts.
An XXL 50th anniversary
For its 50th edition, July 10–12, 2026: 17 stages, some 1,300 artists and up to 90,000 visitors. On Saturday July 11, Nigerian star Burna Boy, a 2021 Grammy winner, headlined — the festival is no longer told in jazz alone, but in music from the whole world.
North Sea Jazz Festival, Rotterdam (Netherlands). 2027 edition: July 9–11, at Rotterdam Ahoy.
