- The whole room is ready for the OUAGADOUGOU DITANYE!
Moment of communion in Ouagadougou: for the REMA Play Rise evening, the audience of the 9th edition of the African Musical Meetings rose from a block to sing the Ditanyè, the national anthem of Burkina Faso, before celebrating the artists of the country. Our Festival Explorer Mory Touré was there.
Before making the scene vibrate and let the rhythms speak, the REMA Play Rise evening took a moment to honour the homeland: Burkina Faso, a country of integrity. At the invitation of the voices of the stage, the whole room rose to sing together the hymn that makes the hearts beat: the Ditanyè.
"The homeland or death! We will prevail!" The slogan echoed in a moment of respect and national communion — that this spirit of unity, dignity and pride accompany the whole evening: that evening, Burkina Faso was celebrated, through one of its most beautiful forces, creativity, music and artists.
