Some festivals are born in concert halls; others grow straight out of the soil. The Festival Terre Ferme belongs to the second family: from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Ferme de Godmanchester, at 2152 Rang 4, opens its gates for a 6th edition celebrating diversity, interculturalism and multiculturalism. The hours are the same every day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and entry is free.

Run by the non-profit Érable et Sources, directed by Chadi Alhelou, the festival celebrates local creators, farmers producing food of exceptional flavour, ingenious artisans and artists from everywhere. On the programme across the three days: a fruit and vegetable market, artisans and terroir products, live music shows, paintings and sculptures, traditional and folk music from around the world and activities for children. The setting is one of a kind: this is the farm where the new episodes of the children's series Passe-Partout are filmed.

Saturday, September 26 will be Caribbean Day, organized in collaboration with Espace Culturel Vertières: DJ NG, Tianne and Lu will be there, with dances led by Harry Grégoire and games and entertainment for young and old with Norrah Trouillot. Local exhibitors will also be on hand, from Caribbean flavours to handmade creations.

On Sunday, September 27, all eyes turn to Africa: the Association des Ressortissants Africains de Valleyfield presents "Discovering African Cultures" — an African village running all day, an African fashion show, a percussion workshop, a culinary tasting, tales and legends, and Sam Ojeda's show "Les esprits autochtones", before the grand closing show at 4:15 p.m.

Founded in 2021, the Festival Terre Ferme has become, over six editions, a key event for the vitality of the arts and cultural diversity in an agricultural region: the organizer expects 500 to 1,000 visitors per day. Festival TV featured its 2025 edition in a report, available in our Reports section, and the festival's full fact sheet is on festivaltv.tv. Information: festivalterreferme.ca — (514) 777-7152.
