The large market of N'Zérékoré is the commercial lung of forest Guinea, the second largest city in the country. Red palm oil, cola nuts, smoked fish, coffee, cocoa and handicrafts from the forest arrive from villages throughout the region. It is a market-carrefour, also oriented towards the neighbouring Liberia and Ivory Coast. For the visitor of FESMAF or the Forest Arts Festival, this is the first immersion in real forest Guinea.
