Boulbinet fishing port

At the southwestern tip of Kaloum peninsula, Boulbinet is one of the great artisanal fishing landing grounds of Conakry. Upon the return of the canoes, the fish is landed, sorted and sold, while the women smoke it and prepare it for the markets of the capital. Fishermen who amend their nets, fishers at work, come and come from the boats: it is the real sea life of Kaloum that is played here. The area also serves as a starting point to the nearby Loos islands.
